For the next 12 months, Fresh Cravings will donate a total of $250,000 to support small, yet meaningful, local nonprofits nationwide. My Ascension

More than 20 teenagers die by suicide in the U.S. every day. Fortunately, Emma Benoit did not become part of this devastating statistic, after surviving a suicide attempt at the age of 16 that left her paralyzed. FoodFinder

In 2020, more than 6.6 million Americans searched online for food pantries in their area. Despite over $100 billion allocated yearly towards fighting food insecurities, these resources are still difficult to access for many people. Recognizing this problem as an unacceptable obstacle for individuals in crisis, Jack Griffin founded FoodFinder—a nonprofit food pantry locator platform for free food assistance. Lucille’s 1913

When the Covid-19 pandemic began, Texas chef Chris Williams, owner of Lucille’s Fine Foods, quickly sprang into action to support Houston’s frontline worker by providing over 3,000 nourishing meals. After expanding support to include some of Houston’s most vulnerable elderly communities, Chris recognized that access to healthy meals was an overlooked area of support through the pandemic. That’s why he founded Lucille’s 1913, a conscious community collective delivering more than 700 fresh “meals with dignity” a day. Team Trublue

Mentorships, anti-bully workshops, and family strengthening are just a handful of programs offered by Team Trublue, a nonprofit organization built on three tiers: outreach, mentorship, and stop the violence, which aim to empower and educate the Charlotte, North Carolina community. Fresh Cravings is honored to support and share the empowering story of how overcoming loss led to the start of this incredible community. After a devastating cancer diagnosis of beloved Atlanta-based Chef Ryan Hidinger, an outpouring of love and financial support laid the foundation for Giving Kitchen, a nonprofit that provides emergency assistance to local food service workers through financial support and a network of community resources. At age 8, Jahkil Jackson began sharing his Blessings Bags with the homeless in his hometown of Chicago. Today, Jakhil unites volunteers nationwide to build & distribute these bags, stuffed with basic supplies like toothbrushes, hand sanitizer, socks, and more. Fresh Cravings is proud to partner with Mariano’s Market to feature this remarkable young man & his non-profit Project I AM.
